The ‘Basin research Symposium’ was organized by the Staatsolie Maatschappij Suriname N.V. from May 10 to May 12. The Suriname-Guyana Basin study findings were addressed during this meeting, which was held offshore. 130 people attended the conference, including specialists and students from the Anton de Kom University of Suriname, as well as professionals from Staatsolie and its foreign partners.
In 2022, Staatsolie carried out six studies of the Suriname-Guyana Basin. These investigations have provided a deeper understanding of the basin’s many petroleum systems. Through presentations and seminars, the information learned from the pelvic studies was disseminated.
