Reecently a fraud case has been announce at Hakrinbank, of which two people were involved and have been taken into custody. It concerns an employee of the bank and her partner who is a firefighter.
The Public Prosecution Service has imposed a contact restriction in accordance with Article 40, paragraph 2 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, which means that lawyers do not have access to their clients for the time being. The fraud was discovered during an internal audit. Hakrinbank has previously reported that no funds have been stolen from customers. Hakrinbank Audit Department itself is conducting an in-depth investigation.
The aim is to determine the extent of the fraud and to identify those involved. The Hakrinbank has also taken the necessary measures to prevent a recurrence and to recover the stolen funds.
