Staatsolie’s General Meeting of Shareholders (AGM) was held on Thursday 20 October 2022 in the Cabinet of the President. In this meeting, the decision was approved that the commissioners, Melissa Santokhi-Seenacherry, Harry Dorinie, Nawin Ryan Nannan as well as chairman of the commission Leo Brunswijk, will step down. So that the new board members can take over. Herman Alendy as the new chairman of the board and Bhoepsingh Willem Dwarkasing, Maya Debi Srihar Doobe and Leroy Jack as supervisory directors.
The nominations had already been approved in the government council of 19 October and the appointment was made in the AGM of 20 October. Leo Brunswijk, as the retiring chairman of the supervisory board, handed over the documents associated with this position to the new chairman of the supervisory board. With this development at Staatsolie, another promise that President Santokhi made earlier has been fulfilled.
