Trinidadian businessman Surujdeo Mangaroo traveled specifically to Suriname to present our president with a steelpan. On November 22, 2022, this Trinidadian national emblem was given to President Santokhi.
The chief of state was very grateful for Mangaroo’s kindness and expressed the hope that the policies of this administration would be as in tune as the tones of the steelpan. The president was also given the chance to play another lovely percussion instrument during this tour.
