In accordance with the 27th Conference of the Parties, President Santokhi traveled to Egypt today, November 5. (COP27). The conference will be held in 2022 from November 6–18.

World leaders will examine the most important aspects of climate change in Egypt. Access to climate finance, loss and damage to developing nations, and changing energy systems are a few of them.

Suriname and other poor nations will call attention to actionable plans and the execution of commitments made by the developed nations at past climate change conferences at this UN conference. On November 10, the presidential delegation will return to Suriname.
