On April 1, 2023, President Chandrikapersad Santokhi would spend a few days in the Netherlands as recommended by his medical team, which consists of Surinamese and foreign physicians.
The purpose is to get a second medical exam based on a Preliminary medical screening that was done previously. President Santokhi will return in a few days and feels in excellent health.
