The President of the Republic of Suriname, ChandrikaPersad Santokhi, has donated 100 food packages to the Commissariaat of the Saramacca region for the benefit of the area’s socially disadvantaged residents.
The distribution of the food packages in the resorts of Calcutta, Tijgerkreek, Groningen, Kampong Baroe, Jarikaba, and Wayambo was personally handled by Saramacca District Commissioner, Mrs. Sherin Bansi-Durga, and her staff.
The DC also took advantage of this chance to personally wish these people a Merry Christmas and a successful outcome.
