People want to use Surinamese products as much as possible and cease importing goods, according to the Minister of Economic Affairs (EZ) Rishma Kuldipsing, although sales are still not that high. EZ will check the different places. The minister indicates that there is no shortage of onions. “If a shop has not yet had stock, that does not mean that a shopkeeper should abuse it,” said Minister Kuldipsingh. A kilo of onions, if available in the store, currently sells for at least SRD 85 to SRD 90.
