Bakas, Mohamed Altaaf (Bambie), chairman of the Eastern Polders resort in Nickerie of the NDP, has been picked up and taken to the police station for questioning. A complaint has been filed against him for posting something on Facebook. At the indictment he agreed to take it down and he was released and dropped off at home. The person who made the report never mentioned Mohamed Altaaf in the post. He cannot understand how the man who filed a report lives at Waldeck and will file a report against him all the way in the Henar district after he posted that post on Facebook. Then after three weeks he was picked up, when he got a call from the detective.

After Mohamed Altaaf made his statement, he was brought before the assistant officer, police commissioner Hemantkoemar Sardjoe. Who asked him the same questions concerning the ‘mail’. After he answered the questions, the police commissioner asked him if he was willing to remove the ‘mail’. He then indicated that he was willing to do that, which he did.

Bakas maintains that he did not commit a criminal act, but he cooperated, because otherwise he would only be deprived of his freedom for longer. He came to the conclusion after hearing they talk about, ‘Aunt Shantie’ that a woman and a man file a report.
