Members of the Anti-Corruption Commission visited the Public Prosecution Service (OM) for the first time on May 30, 2023, on that day. Additionally present was Public Prosecutor Nirmala Maikoe. The visit included a discussion of the committee’s duties and authority as well as the procedures for reporting to the Attorney General. The committee is happy with the assistance the Public Prosecution Service has provided in carrying out their duties.
The Anti-Corruption Commission’s job, according to the OM in a press release, is to safeguard persons who disclose abuses in government institutions, to prevent and discover those abuses at an early stage, and to send reports to the Attorney General.
