The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries (LVV) has 3 staff members who graduated on October 13th from the Bachelor’s degree in Animal Production & Technology (APHT) at the PTC University of Applied Sciences. They are Dalaney Ronopawiro, Charleen Djamin and Rosaya Kamit.
There has been a severe shortage of Animal Health Assistants for years at LVV. On August 11, 2017, at the request of the Ministry of LVV, an agreement was signed with the PTC regarding the APHT study. A total of 11 LVV employees and 8 private individuals registered for this study; Ronopawiro, Djamin and Kamit are the first LVV graduates.
A graduate of the APHT study can, among other things, effectively and efficiently carry out and manage activities within livestock farms, implement livestock technical practices, manage livestock registration and data, record, analyze and interpret, writes the Communications & Marketing of PTC. Furthermore, the APHT professional can train and assist livestock farmers in the application of modern livestock farming techniques.
