Over the weekend of December 9–11, Energie Bedrijven Suriname (EBS) will complete a required update to the customer information system. This include paying the gas and energy bills, as well as accessing customer information through Myaccount and the EBS website. This implies that all EBS collection offices will be closed to the general public during this time. On the aforementioned days, it will also be impossible to use the checkout services of outside service providers or make an electronic payment via Mope or Uni5Pay.
The service for reporting and managing complaints and electricity faults through the fault number 139 is still operational. The customer contact center number 175 can be used to place telephone orders for 100 lb. gas cylinders, transmit meter readings, and request electricity bills.
According to the EBS, all locations will be open as usual on Monday, December 12, 2022, at the regular hours, and all cash and electronic transactions as well as other digital services can resume as usual.
