Today is Tuesday and people are eagerly awaiting the exchange rates in Suriname. Acting president Ronnie Brunswijk had indicated last weekend that the price should fall on Tuesday!

ABOP foreman and acting president said this during a meeting of his party in Commewijne. He warned that he would take measures against banks and cambios if the exchange rate did not fall today.

During an ABOP meeting yesterday in Sunny Point, he discussed this again and indicated that he will personally go to the cambios today to take stock.

He told his supporters that he will go to the cambios and, if necessary, post the course on the signs at the cambios.

Meanwhile, today’s prices, compared to Saturday’s, does not show that much has changed.
