According to the established schedules, classes at the Anton de Kom University of Suriname will begin on Monday, January 16. The board of the Anton de Kom University of Suriname has stated this.
The University’s board and the University of Suriname’s Union of Scientific Personnel (VWPU) achieved an understanding on Friday about the payment of wages based on the wage series established in 2022 and the money that is owed retrospectively.
In light of this, the VWPU members’ actions were suspended at midnight on the same day.
