A team of health professionals and the French Development Agency AFD are now in Suriname to evaluate the Marwina Hospital’s needs. Together with Surinamese authorities, the goal is to guarantee that the hospital is fully operational and to increase Marowijne district residents’ access to high-quality healthcare.
On April 17, the team went to the Ministry of Health. Building on the already-existing collaboration with the Center Hospitalier de L’Quest Guyanais (CHOG) on the other side of the river, the Marwina Hospital lays the way for a cooperative approach to health challenges in the area. Beginning on April 17, the needs analysis will end today.
