In order to carry out the technical cooperation between Suriname and Brazil, a delegation from the Brazilian Cooperation Agency (ABC) led by ambassador Raphael de Azeredo is in Suriname for a working visit. The working visit will take place in December 2022 from 5 to 9.
The purpose of the working visit is to advance the initiatives supporting the development of Suriname’s Cyber Security Incident Response Center and to improve health surveillance of vector-borne illnesses like malaria, chagas sickness, and leishmaniasis.
During the opening at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Business and International Cooperation, Director Miriam MacIntosh of the Directorate of Foreign Affairs gave a brief speech to the delegation (Bibis).She stressed that Brazil is seen by Suriname as a vital partner in achieving our nation’s development goals, with Brazil’s cooperation agency playing a crucial position.
In his remarks, Azeredo stated that Brazil is ready to continue the initiatives and to pay attention to Suriname’s aspirations. According to Bibis information, there will be in-depth discussions about the requirements and necessary expectations in the fields of defense, public health, capacity building, and training.
