Telesur has announced that the delayed internet service that was noticeable for several days has now been lifted. The telecommunications company has been able to fully expand its back-up capacity for the internet service to its customers. The company says that it allows customers to make optimal use of the service.
The work on the international fiber optic network will continue for about a week, but due to the expanded back-up connections, the impact for customers has been absorbed.
Telesur’s international partner had announced that urgent work had to be carried out on one of the international fiber optic cables. Back-up connections were then enabled by Telesur, but they were not yet optimal.
