An agreement on reciprocal visa exemption was signed by the two nations prior to this development. On the fringes of the United Nations General Debate in New York, the agreement was signed. The agreement was signed by Frederick Shava of Zimbabwe and Dr. Denzil Douglas, the foreign minister of Saint Kitts & Nevis.
The removal of visa requirements, according to both ministers, would increase inter-country contacts between St. Kitts and Nevis and Zimbabwe. Holders of St. Kitts and Nevis passports can now travel to more than 145 countries without a visa.
Both nations established diplomatic relations on November 30, 2021, and according to a statement, “there has not been any significant cooperation between the two countries” since they signed the agreement.
