Bilateral Political Consultation has been established thanks to a memorandum of agreement signed by the governments of Botswana and The Bahamas.
The MOU (memorandum of understanding) was signed today by the foreign ministers of the Bahamas, Frederick Mitchell, and Botswana, Dr. Lemogang Kwape.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement: “The memorandum will improve relationships, friendship, and cooperation between The Bahamas and Botswana for mutual gain and to realize shared objectives on international multilateral and bilateral partnerships.
Economic, cultural, tourism, environmental, agricultural, health, educational, and financial services are just a few of the areas of interaction that are possible. Both countries will gain from the exchange of knowledge and specialists by advancing the industries in which we want to expand.
Botswana President Mokgweetsi Masisi is paying an official visit to The Bahamas.Masisi and his entourage will be in The Bahamas until September 15.
After visiting the northern Caribbean country, Masisi will head to Cuba for the Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Group of 77 and China. Those meetings take place on September 15th and 16th.He will then travel to New York City for the 78th United Nations General Assembly.
